A Bit About Me

Hi, I’m Talia Evered — a wife and mum of three, as well as a passionate children’s book author. I have a deep love for storytelling, imagination and all the little moments that make childhood truly magical. My journey began as an early childhood teacher, where I enjoyed writing fun stories for family and friends and I quickly discovered the joy of capturing children's voices and experiences through words. Inspired by these moments, I have written and self-published three children's picture books with my fourth book to launch towards the end of 2025. I’m grateful to collaborate with the talented illustrator/designers Scott and Leonie Pearson (Visual Evolution), who help bring my characters and ideas to life, ensuring each story engages with children and brings joy, fun and connection. I get a real kick out of sharing my books with children in early childhood centres, schools and at community events and seeing their reactions to the bright, funny illustrations and wacky words. It is truly heart-warming for me to see the children's faces light up and see them connect with the stories and I always get funny questions or feedback from them too.
