Welcome to Out of The Box Books.  I’m Talia Evered, a passionate self-published author of four delightful children's picture books and my company is all about creativity and imagination.

My journey began in Hamilton, where I discovered my knack for writing unique and quirky learning stories for the children I taught in Early Childhood Centres, alongside writing for family and friends. My first storybook, "I Wonder What I can Wonder in My Wardrobe," sparked my dream of sharing my tales with the world. After facing the typical rejections from traditional publishers, I refused to give up. Instead, I embraced the challenge of self-publishing, dedicating countless hours to research and mastering the process. I found an amazing team of experts, Scott and Leonie Pearson from Visual Evolution, to help illustrate and design my books, allowing me to publish and build my brand.

Today, I bring my quirky and funny stories to life creating cherished books that inspire young readers to explore their own imaginations.  I believe that if you have a story close to your heart that you want to see in print and hold in your hands, then you should.  That’s exactly why I established Out of The Box Books—to support you as an author and help you self-publish the book of your dreams.
